It is important to maintain good health. Your body is a temple of God. Eat right and exercise to get the most out of life. There are some simple steps you can take right now.

I was out early this morning walking the dog. While out, I was thinking of what the next episode was going to be about. I came up with four random thoughts on health which if applied in your life will help to lift your life to a new level of success. So here they are:

Some of these ideas may seem like common sense to you, some of them you may not have thought of.  I throw them out to you now, as ideas you can use and work on, to help you in your pursuit of physical health and success.     

The first one is to avoid drugs and alcohol.  At their worst they cause broken families, broken lives and much pain.  At their best they cause drowsiness and lack of ambition.  “Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaints?  Who has needless bruises?  Who has bloodshot eyes?  Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.  Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly!  In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.  Your eyes will see strange sights and your mind will imagine confusing things.  You will be like one sleeping on the high seas, lying on top of the rigging.  ‘They hit me,’ you will say, ‘but I’m not hurt!  They beat me, but I don’t feel it!  When will I wake up so I can find another drink?'”xcii

play in a significant way. I’m not talking about the movement required to roll off the couch in search of a lost remote control. I’m talking about the type of play that makes life enjoyable and meaningful. I’m talking about turning the TV off, shutting down the computer and getting outside to enjoy everything and everyone around you. 

Two Forces That Work Together

There are two major forces that work together to shape your overall health and well-being.  These forces, applied separately, will not have the same effect as when you get them both working in your life.  They are the forces of diet and exercise.  I will talk about each one individually later.  For now, I need to stress the point that for optimum health, it is important to focus on both of these.
