Life Is Good

Life is what you make of it. Make sure that you are focusing on all the good in your life. You have enough goodness in your life to be fulfilled. This is how.

Stages of Development

It’s important to know the stages your children will grow through and how you can be there to help them and to encourage them through each of these stages.  It’s also important to examine the stages you went through growing up.  This will help to give insight into who you are today.  They do not happen at exactly the same time for everyone, but you will be able to get a rough idea as to when each stage begins and how long it will last.  The three stages we need to discuss are the:

Real Success Starts With Failure

I know many people will dislike the above words, but they are true.  The kind of real success that I am talking about is much more than society’s version of success, i.e., a big house, a fancy car and a wad of money.  Funny thing is that I happen to know people like that, we all do.  Many times those people are not successful because there is no sense of fulfillment and not much to life beyond their career and quest for money.  There is the crowd who went to college, got a good job and has been climbing the corporate ladder, never looking back.  I am really happy for those types, if they want me to be, but I’m appealing to someone else here.

Today I Got Wet

That’s right… you read that right. Today I got wet and it changed my life!

I checked the weather before I left the house this morning. I saw lots of clouds but no rain drops. Sometimes I need to remember that I live in Connecticut, a place where the forecast is never very accurate. In fact, the weather sometimes changes from hour to hour. …

My Experience With Success

As we begin our journey, I would like to share with you my personal experiences with success as the world and popular society defines it and what I have come to know as true, lasting and real success.  My journey began, like everyone else, as a child.  It’s when we are young and impressionable that our beliefs, attitudes and behaviors are formed.  They affect the rest of our lives, and for many people, it is never realized that they may develop these characteristics in an atmosphere that isn’t or wasn’t supportive of real success.

Being Content

I am sure many of you have looked out at your neighbor’s house in envy.  There may even have been times when you have gotten jealous at the luxury car that your friend or co-worker drives.  When you see these nice possessions of others, many times you begin to imagine the pleasure and satisfaction that must come from owning these luxury items.  When this happens, you must remember, as hard as it is in the moment that, “contentment makes poor men rich.  Discontent makes rich men poor.”clii  So how do you maintain contentment in a world that is so focused on material possessions?  I have found several things that help.

Giving Back For The Gift You Have Found

The question you are probably asking yourself: “Why should I share my success with other people?”  The answer is

quite simple.  Every time you share with another person, you are taking a step to assure that you don’t slip back into your old lifestyle.

Sharing your success is a great way to repay others and society, in general, for your past misdeeds and mistakes.  No, you can’t change the past, but by introducing someone to a better way of living, you are conveying the message that you care and that means a lot.

The Third Episode

This is my third episode of Renewed2Win. I am still using old audio recordings from my days as a youth pastor. I will probably continue to do that for the remainder of the year as because I am trying to get more blog posts up on the website. Feedback is greatly appreciated as I get this program started. Audio is a problem that, hopefully, I will be able to correct soon. God has been good to me throughout these early days of Renewed2Win. Thanks for your support.
